Disability Support Specialist

At our organization, we strive to enhance the lives of people with disabilities. Our dedicated team is committed to helping individuals achieve their goals and maintain their independence.

Position Summary:

Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans, focusing on daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with transportation
  • Offer respite care to clients and their families
  • Maintain accurate records of clients' care plans and progress
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and care team members
  • Ensure client safety and well-being by following health and safety regulations

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines, as well as basic care and first aid skills. A certificate 2 or 4 in individual support is highly regarded, but not mandatory. Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities is also desirable.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
