Senior Database Professional Role

  • Developing and executing advanced database strategies, including data modeling, schema design, and database object creation.
  • Participating in the software development life cycle (SDLC), encompassing requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment of PL/SQL code, stored procedures, triggers, and packages.
  • Optimizing database performance through SQL script tuning, indexing, and data structure enhancements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate databases with various systems and applications.
  • Ensuring data integrity and seamless information flow between systems.
  • Identifying and resolving complex database issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation for database designs, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 8-10 years of experience as a skilled developer with a proven track record of successful database projects.
  • Experience with Oracle Retail is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and database design principles is essential.
  • Expertise in Oracle database and DB2 technologies is required.
  • Experience with Oracle APEX would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with DevOps for database deployment (CI/CD for automated deployment of database scripts) is a must.
  • Knowledge of Order Management Systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with Workato, Kafka, and Automic would be an added advantage.
