This role plays a pivotal part in the Koori Justice Unit, overseeing the development and delivery of Phase 5 of the Victorian Aboriginal Justice Agreement.
About This Opportunity- Leadership of project expenditure and resource allocation strategies.
- Fostering strong partnerships with the Aboriginal Justice Caucus and key stakeholders to promote self-determination and enhanced justice outcomes.
- Providing informed policy and program guidance to support the Director, Executive Director, Deputy Secretary, Secretary, Board of Management, portfolio Ministers, and other key stakeholders on Aboriginal Victorians' justice priorities.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety is committed to driving transformative change within the justice system to deliver improved outcomes for Aboriginal Victorians.
About You- Exceptional knowledge of Aboriginal culture and society, along with a deep understanding of historical and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal Victorians.
- Strong expertise in working with Aboriginal communities and advisory groups, including effective stakeholder engagement.
- In-depth knowledge of public policy development and implementation, as well as Cabinet processes and Government decision-making processes.
- Demonstrated experience delivering policy and reform through collaborative community engagement.
