Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Unit Coordinator to join our team at Catholic Education Western Australia. The primary objective of this role is to work collaboratively with staff and families to provide quality teaching and learning experiences that support the needs of students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inclusive educators and their liaison with teachers in the modification of classroom activities and assessment tasks.

Work Environment

The Education Support Centre provides a learning environment for students daily. The Centre is staffed with a SWD Co-ordinator, SWD teacher and a team of highly dedicated Education Assistants.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant 4-year tertiary qualification in Primary Education• Qualification in Students with Disabilities / Special Education (preferable but not necessary)• CEWA Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School• Successful record of teaching and administrative experience•
