Senior Architect Role

Our organization is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join its team in Canberra. This position offers the opportunity to grow professionally and contribute to innovative architecture, interior design, landscapes, and urban design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project delivery strategies, create project plans, QA plans, and resource allocation schedules.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, securing projects within the ACT and Southern NSW market.
  • Assist in submitting registrations of interest and proposals to potential clients.
  • Help achieve financial targets related to new work, invoicing, and chargeable time.
  • Build effective working relationships with other business groups to develop innovative solutions.
  • Direct projects under the supervision of a Technical Director of Architecture and mentor junior team members.
  • Collaborate on designing and documenting projects across different typologies.
  • Ensure technical performance and quality on all projects.
  • Participate in local, national, and global project design reviews.

Requirements:

  • Registration as an architect in Australian states and territories (ACT preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills that foster team development and collaboration.
  • Minimum 5-6+ years of experience working in architectural firms delivering commercial projects as a project architect.
  • Architectural design and documentation skills for commercial project delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and graphic presentation skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Project, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop.
