Are you looking to take your career in public policy and regulatory affairs to the next level? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing our government and regulatory strategy across all of our products. This includes Afterpay, Square, Cash App, TIDAL, and TBD. You will be involved in the most important issues at the forefront of financial services and technology policy, including payments, consumer credit, small business empowerment, and digital assets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement our public policy and regulatory strategy across all of our products.
  2. Represent us with government officials, regulators, and other stakeholders, leading external discussions on key topics, including consumer credit and payments regulation.
  3. Develop and produce research, government submissions, and other public policy material, including detailed analysis of our regulatory environment.
  4. Manage our broader external engagement, including participation in industry events, speechwriting, and media engagement.
  5. Manage important projects and research programs, including managing relationships and project managing work with third-party consultants.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, or legal roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound and practical business judgment, intellectual creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in law, economics, public policy, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in financial services legal and regulatory roles.
