We are seeking an accomplished Policy Strategist to lead a small team in the Workers Compensation policy and scheme design area.

Reporting to the Director, Scheme Design, Policy and Performance, you will be responsible for:

- Developing and implementing complex policy initiatives across government (within NSW and nationally).

- Providing expert advice and information to inform stakeholders including Ministers and senior leaders.

- Overseeing the preparation of reports, briefs and correspondence to inform or respond to requests.

- Leading activities to align resources to deliver priorities and a positive customer experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of complex policy issues, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead research, analysis and review of policy issues, providing recommendations to support policy directions.

- Develop and implement strategies for monitoring and evaluating policy initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities.

- Maintain awareness of relevant industry trends, practices and opportunities to identify innovative solutions.

Requirements

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

- Proven background in public policy, preferably in the regulatory space.
