Mobile Drug Safety Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Drug Safety Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will provide leadership to communities in the Bendigo area by taking a community development approach to supporting local and regional harm reduction initiatives.

The role involves providing support and education to individuals and groups at risk of drug-related harm, as well as collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders to develop and deliver coordinated key educational programs.

  • Harm Reduction Programs:
  • Develop and implement harm reduction programs in partnership with local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement harm reduction programs in partnership with local communities.
  2. Provide support and education to individuals and groups at risk of drug-related harm.
  3. Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to develop and deliver coordinated key educational programs.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Public Health, Community Development, Welfare Studies or other health-related disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in harm reduction, with a strong understanding of blood-borne virus prevention, overdose prevention, management and relapse prevention.
  • Experience in community development, project management, community partnerships and collaboration.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Qualifications in Public Health, Community Development, Welfare Studies or other health-related disciplines.
  2. Minimum 2 years' experience working in harm reduction, with a strong understanding of blood-borne virus prevention, overdose prevention, management and relapse prevention.
  3. Experience in community development, project management, community partnerships and collaboration.
