About the Role:

Nixil Pty is seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data solutions that meet the complex needs of our financial services clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs, and design end-to-end data architectures that align with organizational goals.
  • Data Modeling: Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models, define data entities, relationships, and attributes, and optimize data structures for efficient querying and reporting.
  • Database Management: Install and configure database management systems (DBMS), ensure data integrity, availability, and performance, and implement backup and recovery strategies.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources, develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data ingestion, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement access controls, encryption, and data masking, and ensure compliance with privacy laws and industry standards.
  • Cloud and On-Premises Portability: Future-proof data architecture for regulatory changes and operational risks, and design for multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud scenarios.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) designing data architectures for complex financial services institutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling tools, and DBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre SQL).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Full working rights – Must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
