About the Role

The Senior Asset Capacity Engineer plays a pivotal role in providing engineering and technical services to support Jemena's gas assets. Focusing on asset capacity theory, this expert will conduct analysis and evaluation of assets and their sub-components, identifying requirements for optimisation.

To achieve this, collaboration with other teams is crucial, developing initiatives and strategies that optimise costs, improve efficiency, and streamline processes across the Gas Markets asset base. This involves applying an iterative and recursive problem-solving process, considering trade-offs between individual assets and whole asset capacity.

As a key member of the Asset Capacity team, you will deliver high-performing fit-for-purpose and cost-effective solutions, ensuring optimal gas supply to customers while maintaining safety, reliability, integrity, and long-term value of the assets.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Assessing existing asset operations and capacity to establish a foundation for process improvements.
  • Evaluating asset capacity and defining requirements for optimisation.
  • Analysing and interpreting data to assess present and future asset performance.
  • Developing and analysing asset information and models to identify limitations and debottlenecking opportunities.
  • Providing engineering services throughout the project lifecycle, including scope development and project documentation.
  • Supporting planned and unplanned outages, troubleshooting, and incident investigations.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for asset capacity, capacity modelling, and pipeline analysis.

About You

A substantial period of experience in system engineering for at least one asset system is required. Additionally, you should possess a broad understanding of commercial and technical interactions/requirements for sound asset management principles.

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum
