Job Description

As a Senior Geologist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the implementation and execution of geological tasks on a family-friendly roster at Beta Hunt Operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and maintaining the diamond drill schedule to obtain required data for block models aligned with the mining schedule. This milestone highlights growth potential at Beta Hunt and marks the beginning of a multi-decade journey for Fletcher in an expanded mine plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountability for all mine geology activities
  • Producing and maintaining the diamond drill schedule
  • Contributing to resource model updates upon drill program completion
  • Geological reconciliation to minimize dilution and maximize commercial outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • 7+ years' mining experience (5+ years in gold mining)
  • Comprehensive understanding of mining cycles
  • Demonstrated technical excellence in grade control and geological modeling
  • Ability to accurately forecast budgets and manage costs
  • Experience with Leapfrog and tertiary qualification in Geology
  • Leadership skills and ability to develop and mentor employees
