Our organization is seeking a seasoned Migration Lawyer to provide expert legal advice and casework to clients in the Northern Territory.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality legal services, including court representation, as required
- Develop and maintain advanced technical knowledge in migration law, domestic, family, and sexual violence, and family law
- Provide sensitive support and guidance to clients who have experienced trauma, while upholding their rights within a trauma-informed framework
- Plan and conduct community legal education workshops, as well as create associated materials
- Collaborate with our team to identify, research, and prepare submissions on law reform and lobbying initiatives that align with our organization's purpose and service priorities
- Admitted to practice/eligible to apply for an unrestricted practising certificate in the Northern Territory
- A minimum of two (2) years' post-admission experience in migration, family, and/or civil law
