Primary objective

Contribute to the delivery of business and skilled migration programs in the Northern Territory and provide relevant information

to key stakeholders.

Context statement

MigrationNT sits within the Business and Regions division and has carriage of business and migration programs in the NT. Through

the delivery of these programs, it supports the NT Government's objectives of achieving economic and population growth.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Undertake assessment and case management in relation to applications under business and skilled migration programs,

including assessment against set criteria, liaising with applicants and nominees, and maintaining accurate records.

  1. Provide information on business and skilled migration programs to NT employers, industry, community and skilled migrants.
  2. In liaison with relevant contractors, assist with the development and management of MigrationNT online application systems

to ensure all applications are accurately captured.

4. Extract and analyse skilled migration data and formulate reports on status, sources and outcomes for the NT.

5. Assist in the development and delivery of promotional content for a range of different mediums, audiences and platforms such

as presentations, websites, brochures and factsheets for public dissemination.

6. Undertake other duties as directed.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Well-developed communication and organisational skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with

tight, conflicting deadlines and changing priorities across a broad range of functions.

2. Sound knowledge of skilled migration programs and their relationship to the Northern Territory's demographics and economy.

3. Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying regulations or policy, case management, and problem solving.

4. Proven ability to effectively consult and engage with stakeholders from a broad range of government, industry, business,

community and cultural backgrounds.

5. Demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a team and work with minimal supervision.

  1. Demonstrated high level of computer literacy and knowledge of various office software packages and their application.

Desirable

1. Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.

  1. Hold or have the ability to obtain a legal practising certificate or registration as a Migration Agent.
  2. Hold a current NT Driver Licence.
