About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dams Engineer to join our team in Queensland. As a key member of our Water group, you will be responsible for delivering high-profile and challenging projects across the region with water authorities, mining clients, Councils, and other government authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage dam safety projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement dam improvement programs.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess dam conditions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in dam safety and engineering.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in dams engineering designs.
  • Experience with design management, procurement planning, construction sequencing, and construction programme reporting.
  • Ability to build constructive, appropriate, and balanced relationships with counterparts and colleagues.
  • Ability to plan, design, read, interpret, and supervise complex engineering projects and assignments.
Desirable
  • Membership of Engineers Australia or equivalent.
  • Membership to ANCOLD.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent.
  • Registered Practising Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).
