With our team, you will be working on complex projects that require strong technical skills and experience. You will need to have a background in civil or environmental engineering, science, or hydrology, as well as strong experience with Australian hydrological and hydraulic practices. Your expertise in hydrologic modelling and flood forecasting using industry-standard software is essential.

In this role, you will also need to have advanced statistical skills related to design flood hydrology, including flood frequency approaches and total probability methods for Monte Carlo sampling on multiple reservoirs. Analysis of impacts of climate change and climate variability on water availability is also crucial.

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. This salary estimate takes into account the average cost of living in Hobart, Melbourne, or other major cities in Australia where our company operates.

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, science, or hydrology;
  • 12-15 years' experience in the energy sector;
  • Strong experience with Australian hydrological and hydraulic practices;
  • Advanced statistical skills related to design flood hydrology;
  • Familiarity with semi-distributed or lumped conceptual rainfall-runoff models;
  • Experience with model calibration approaches;
  • Ability to travel and work on-site;
  • Certification as a member of Engineers Australia or equivalent professional organization.
