Policy Development Expert

This is a high-level policy advisory position that requires exceptional skill and expertise in complex problem-solving and issues management.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement policy documents that are evidence-informed, relevant, and contemporary.
  • Provide high-level advice on sensitive organisational and political issues while considering risk and implementation considerations.
  • Oversee and maintain policy initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure policy development is collaborative and effective.
  • Undertake engagement activities such as co-design and consultation to inform policy development.
  • Prepare and review draft policy reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial responses, and discussion papers.
  • Analyse data to develop and implement policy documents for review and publication.

About You:

  • Strong leadership experience with ability to work within a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong project management skills with previous experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
