Job Title: Policy and Government Relations ManagerAbout the Role

This leadership position combines deep policy expertise with the ability to cultivate influential relationships across the political and regulatory landscape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a public policy and government relations strategy within Queensland, ensuring alignment with Asset and organisational priorities.

You will monitor and analyse political, policy and regulatory developments to anticipate risk and opportunity, and translate insights into strategic advocacy and campaign planning.

A trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will offer insightful, politically attuned advice that connects business strategy with public policy and community expectations.

Your leadership is defined by your ability to elevate teams and drive outcomes, making you a respected role model of our values, Doing what's right, Seeking better ways, and Making a difference.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing public policy and government relations strategies.
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with political stakeholders, government officials, and policy influencers.
  • Representing the company in high-level political and policy forums.
  • Providing strategic advice and counsel to Asset leadership on political, policy and regulatory matters.

You are a politically astute and policy-minded leader with a proven track record in government relations, advocacy and strategic engagement.

With deep expertise in navigating complex political and regulatory environments, you understand how to influence outcomes through relationships, evidence and timing.
