Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist - General Merchandise to join our team. As a key member of our Quality team, you will ensure the highest standards for safety, quality and compliance of procured Goods Not for Retail Sale (GNFR) and General Merchandise products sold through all Endeavour customer channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure General Merchandise products and GNFR are safe, of acceptable quality, and comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure our suppliers meet our Endeavour Quality Assurance, Sustainability & Responsible (Ethical) Sourcing standards for own brand products.
  • Ensure our General Merchandise products, packaging & labelling conforms to Australian standards.
  • Maintain up to date agreed specifications & artwork with all suppliers.
  • Support our retail buying teams in the evaluation & testing of new own brand product lines & supplier submissions.
  • Educate stakeholders & provide expert guidance on testing & product performance requirements.
  • Investigate customer feedback & complaints with suppliers.
  • Liaise with suppliers & technical service providers to ensure due diligence requirements are met.
  • Report any gaps in product quality, safety or compliance to the Group Quality, Food Safety & Regulatory Affairs Manager.
  • Onboard new suppliers.
  • Communicate identified compliance, quality and product safety risks to senior leaders.
  • Monitor complaint trends daily.
  • Coordinate supplier investigations of product complaints.
  • Escalate issues with the commercial & quality assurance teams as needed.
  • Maintain a project tracker for each GM and GNFR sourcing project.
  • Provide monthly reporting on Quality, Safety and Compliance KPI's.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in management of product compliance.
  • Qualifications in Materials Science or similar is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of glass, plastics and/or packaging will be well regarded.
  • Strong communication ability, both written and verbal.
  • Very comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Google Workspace proficiency, exposure to PWRM system would be beneficial.
  • Initiative, efficiency and attention to detail.
