Bicultural Community Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our Community Engagement and Wellbeing program, working within a supportive and value-based culture.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) young people and their families, identifying barriers to accessing mental health services.
This is a unique chance to make a meaningful contribution to improving the wellbeing of our community and build healthier lives together.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and evaluate a 12-month project under the guidance of a steering committee and reporting to a manager.
- Develop recommendations for integrating successful initiatives into ongoing operations and practices.
- Provide direction to bicultural engagement workers, identify community connectors, engage with CALD communities, and advocate for systemic changes based on community co-design findings.
- A tertiary qualification in community engagement, community development, health promotion, youth work, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years of experience in a similar role within a not-for-profit, community health, local government, or similar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to relate and work with people from diverse communities, especially young people and community connectors.
