Data Migration Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data transformation project, you will be responsible for mapping, cleansing, and migrating data from legacy systems into SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with system owners and SMEs to map source data to SAP target structures
  • Develop and oversee data migration strategy in partnership with our System Integrator
  • Identify data gaps and quality issues, and design remediation plans to minimize business risk
  • Lead source-to-target data mapping and manage pipelines across master, reference, and transactional data
  • Document all flows and maintain a data issue log to ensure accountability
  • Monitor and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, reporting to the Transformation Office
  • Enable scalable, transparent, and auditable migration pipelines to support program milestones
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in data migration projects, including greenfield SAP S/4HANA programs
  • Deep knowledge of SAP data structures, data migration tools (e.g., BODS, Syniti, SAP Migration Cockpit) and SQL
  • Strong communication skills and experience partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work with system integrators and drive high-quality, on-time migration deliverables
  • Experience managing risk, dependencies, and reporting progress across complex programs
  • A proactive mindset and strong sense of accountability
