About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have suffered injury, illness, or trauma.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, or a related field. You will possess excellent clinical reasoning skills and be able to engage effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across various portfolios, including the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA), supporting our veterans and current ADF members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored rehabilitation plans
  • Collaborate with medical specialists and other treatment providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Work with clients to set and achieve goals, promoting independence and functional capacity
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including employees, managers, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC, or AASW
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, or a related field
  • Clinical experience in occupational rehabilitation, preferably within a defence or veterans' affairs context
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
