Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced procurement buyer to join our team in Benalla, Victoria. This permanent position will see you playing a key role in transforming procurement for our manufacturing site as you play a pivotal hands-on role in sourcing, selecting and developing suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • Lead supplier selection, development and performance audits">
  • Own category spend analytics, APOP planning and supplier negotiations">
  • Work with regional and global category teams to align and execute sourcing strategies">
  • Manage RFPs, pricing agreements, forecasting, reporting and lifecycle costing">
  • Achieve annual cost reductions via negotiation, benchmarking and localisation">
  • Ensure material flow, mitigate risks and develop alternate sourcing strategies">
  • Build long-term supplier partnerships that drive innovation and sustainability">
  • Leverage digital tools to reduce non-value-added activities in procurement">
  • Align with our sustainability goals through responsible sourcing">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

">
  • ">
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering coupled with previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a similar manufacturing environment/organisation">
  • Knowledge of Transformer components and related supply chain requirements">
  • Proven technical skills in relation to procurement, buying and sourcing requirements">
  • Intermediate IT skills, experienced in the use of digital tools and other best practice">
  • Strong data analysis, negotiation and stakeholder relationship management skills">
  • Project management capabilities and demonstrated experience in partnering with both domestic and international stakeholders">
