The role of Senior Coastal Data Officer is crucial in supporting the efficient management of coastal protection assets across our state's regions. Working within the Statewide Coastal Programs Branch, you will be responsible for creating and managing a comprehensive data set to inform asset management practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the curation of spatial data within the Coastal Asset Management System (CAMS) to implement efficient asset management practices.
  • Responding to information requests, undertaking complex data analysis, and preparing reports and correspondence to provide recommendations that impact at program or organisational level.
  • Interpreting and applying business plans and policies to own area of responsibility to meet business and operational objectives and priorities.

This position requires strong collaboration with regional and statewide teams to contribute to the delivery of group and departmental priorities, building an inclusive and high-performing workforce that is customer-focused, collaborative, professional, and engaged.

In addition to these key responsibilities, we are seeking candidates with demonstrated knowledge and skills in asset and project management, proficiency in data curation, management, and documentation, as well as experience in SQL to support analytics, reports, and the development of BI dashboards.
