About the Role

The Coastal Planning and Projects Officer is a key position ensuring the future sustainability and resilience of our coastal areas.

As an advocate for our community, you will provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on coastal planning and management matters.

You will be responsible for developing strategies, master plans, and management plans associated with the foreshore and public open space.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies related to coastal planning and management.
  • Provide high-quality customer experience and stakeholder engagement.
  • Plan and deliver coastal-related projects.

Key Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Management, or a similar field, along with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, achieving quality outcomes and goals in complex environments.
  • Strong time management skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in public speaking, community consultation, and engagement.
  • A valid driving licence.
