About the Position

CSL is seeking a Master to join its cement carrier Goliath in the Bass Strait. As the most senior officer on board, the Master is responsible for managing the vessel and ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally secure operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Implementing safety protocols and regulations;
  2. Managing ship operations and ensuring the safety of cargo and personnel;
  3. Preventing environmental pollution through appropriate measures;
  4. Maintaining accurate records and reports;
  5. Acting as the designated Ship Security Officer.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  1. AMSA Master COC/COR Unlimited qualification;
  2. Education meeting AMSA Marine Order 71 requirements;
  3. Minimum 5 years' sea time as a Chief Officer;
  4. STCW regulation II/2 certification;
  5. MSIC Card; ECDIS and GMDSS training; Certificate of Safety Training;
  6. Australian citizenship or valid working visa without restrictions;
  7. Residency in an Australian state;
  8. Pilotage Exemption Certificate for Port of Melbourne or Port of Davenport (desired).
