Job Overview

The role of a Commercial Finance Manager presents an exciting opportunity to drive financial strategy and partner with senior leadership.

This is a high-impact position where you will oversee financial performance, optimize costs, and provide insights that influence key business decisions.

About the Role:

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure financial transparency, manage budgets, and enhance cost-effectiveness across core business operations.

You will lead a small team and be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support long-term financial health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics, to senior leadership. Identify trends and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Provide in-depth analysis across various metrics to support key strategic decisions.
  • Cost Control: Drive cost control initiatives by monitoring expenses, identifying areas for savings, and implementing financial best practices. Ensure transparency in cost allocation across business units.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a direct report, fostering a high-performance finance function. Delegate tasks effectively and encourage professional growth.
  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting tools, and internal controls. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, corporate policies, and risk management frameworks.
About You:
  • A Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant with 6+ years' finance experience, including business partnering and financial analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise and build rapport with senior stakeholders and manage direct reports.
  • Experience working with large, complex structures and proven ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Exposure to partnering and collaborating with IT functions is highly desirable.
  • A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Advanced financial modelling and data analysis skills (ERP Systems, Business Intelligence Tools, Excel).
