Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

This role is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to support students with learning difficulties.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that provides learning enrichment and support for students throughout the College. The team collaborates with parents, teachers, and other specialists to form a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting students and their learning needs.

We are seeking someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and can work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with disabilities and be able to demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills.

The job involves working closely with students, teachers, and other staff members to ensure that each student receives the necessary support to facilitate their active participation in school and classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with learning difficulties in a classroom setting
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide administrative support to the LEAPS department as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support
  • Possession of high-level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • High-level problem-solving skills
