About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our Governance, Assurance and Risk Branch as a Strategic Governance Associate. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of effective governance arrangements across the National Indigenous Australians Agency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality advice and support on governance, assurance, risk and probity matters, as well as preparing and delivering regular reporting to the Executive on governance, assurance and risk matters.

The role also involves promoting governance and risk best practice across the Agency, including the development and implementation of internal resources, and assisting in the design and delivery of assurance reviews of grant funding systems, processes and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality advice and support on governance, assurance, risk and probity matters
  • Prepare and deliver regular reporting to the Executive on governance, assurance and risk matters
  • Support the secretariat of enterprise governance committees
  • Promote governance and risk best practice across the Agency
  • Assist in the design and delivery of assurance reviews of grant funding systems, processes and programs

Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Baseline Vetting (Protected) security clearance
  • Suitable qualifications and experience in governance, assurance, risk or probity
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgement
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
