About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Board of Directors. As a Non-Executive Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the strategic direction and governance of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure accountability and compliance within our organization.
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts and leverage your professional networks to support our financial sustainability.
  • Act as an ambassador for our organization, advocating for social justice and the needs of individuals with lived experience.
  • Share your expertise and contribute to projects in areas such as legal, finance, justice system, fundraising, social services, or communications.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice and our organization's mission.
  • Familiarity with non-profit governance and a willingness to contribute actively.
  • Skills in at least one area of specialist knowledge.
  • Ability to advocate, fundraise, and represent our organization externally.

Time Commitment:

  • Average 6-8 hours per month for Board meetings, reading, and committee work.
