Senior Rehabilitation Consultant

This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, their families, insurance companies, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors.

The Senior Rehabilitation Consultant will play an instrumental role in facilitating the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals who have experienced injury, illness, or disability. They will identify and develop business opportunities and relationships with new & existing customers.

Responsibilities include developing personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation, complete a range of assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS). The consultant will use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones, utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation

You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, their families, insurance companies, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors, present case information to various stakeholders providing credible recommendations/solutions to drive the desired goal.

Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy and appropriate registration with AHPRA. or Exercise Physiology with a current membership with ESSA
  • Prior experience in occupational rehabilitation industry (minimum 12 months)
  • Sound Knowledge of the South Australian Workers compensation and CTP systems and legislations
  • Full Australian working rights
  • RTW experience or certification desirable
  • Current driver's license and car
