Data Governance Specialist: We are seeking skilled individuals to fill our Data Governance Team as operational specialists. The team works in a virtual environment, managing the agency's data protection and advising on strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting risk assessments under relevant legislation, developing and maintaining data governance policies, coordinating matters with regulatory bodies.
- Providing operational advice and making decisions within defined parameters, requiring a strong understanding of data governance requirements and internal policy obligations.
- Collaborating with the virtual team to manage workloads and statutory timeframes to deliver the agency's data protection commitments.
- Contributing to the agency's strategic direction and achieving business outcomes.
- Escalating emerging issues that may impact on policy, processes, performance, and/or customer outcomes.
Requirements: To be successful in these roles, you will be outcome-driven, exercise independent judgement, and identify opportunities for improvement.
