Business Planning Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Business Planning Specialist to drive financial success in a dynamic business unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of comprehensive financial plans and budgets;
  • Analysis of actual financial performance, with the provision of actionable insights;
  • Collaboration with business leaders to enhance their understanding of budgetary requirements and actual performance;
  • Identification and management of financial risks and opportunities;
  • Design and development of financial templates for budgeting, reporting, and analysis;
  • Elaboration of financial requirements for strategic initiatives;
  • Compilation of financial data and pricing strategies for tenders and commercial negotiations;
  • Implementation of process improvements and tool enhancements to boost efficiency;
  • Provision of ad-hoc support as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect detailed information to broader business goals;
  • Critical thinking capabilities, enabling the evaluation of business activities and their impact on financial performance;
  • Advanced management accounting skills;
  • Accounting qualifications (CA or CPA) or near completion of studies;
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and other Microsoft products;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Self-motivation and proactive approach;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar analyst or reporting role;
  • Eligibility to reside and work in Australia, with no sponsorship required.
Desirable Attributes:
  • Experience and passion for aviation or related industries;
  • Knowledge of SpotlightXL and Planful software tools.
