Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced health professional to work with our multi-disciplinary team in providing primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally sensitive primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, encompassing their physical, emotional, cultural and environmental needs.
  • Collaborate effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement targeted health promotion and education initiatives.
  • Utilize relevant computer programs to plan, deliver or document healthcare services.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage with established connections within the local community.
  • Hold a minimum Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a relevant Certificate III health qualification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the local Aboriginal community and its health issues.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
