About the Role

The Manager BOQ Finance Connect is a key leadership position within the BOQ Group, responsible for leading a team of Lending Analysts or Lending Officers in the Line 1 team of BOQ Finance. This role reports to the BOQ Group's senior leadership and is accountable for delivering the business's operational objectives, ensuring adherence to credit policy, and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the business.

This role is critical to the success of the BOQ Group in meeting budget and growth targets. The Manager will be responsible for managing direct reports, implementing initiatives, training junior and senior staff, developing new policies and procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to build a high-performing team and deliver efficiency improvements to the Line 1 team and business processes.

The Manager will hold a senior-level credit delegation for Line 1, enabling the assessment of higher dollar threshold or complex deals. This role will also be responsible for reviewing applications, ensuring they assess criteria within thresholds, and applying their delegation within the matrix parameters.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a solid understanding and application of Asset Finance and the associated Group Policies. You will be able to execute credit delegation within the business's credit appetite and have an advanced understanding of the Asset Finance process and procedures. You will also be well-versed in the systems and tools used within the business for Asset Finance.

You will possess sound credit acumen and have the capacity to lead and develop a team in a changing credit environment. You will align with BOQ values and purpose and be able to role-model these values through engagements with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to quickly build relationships to foster knowledge growth.

Additionally, you will have demonstrated the capability to execute goals towards the Asset Finance business group target and have consistently exceeded KPIs in delivering this target.
