Asset Finance Manager

About the Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role within our BOQ Finance business, responsible for leading a team of Lending Analysts and Officers in Insurance Premium Funding and Asset Finance. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of Asset Finance and the associated Group Policies, as well as experience in credit delegation within the business's credit appetite.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy management to ensure operational compliance and mitigate risk or capacity to grow the business.
- Maintaining and updating credit lending authority (DAA) for the team to ensure capacity to meet business needs.
- Implementing risk-based approaches to workflows and processes, building and maintaining controls in the risk space.
- Building a high-performing team across disciplines within BOQ Finance.
About You
The successful candidate will possess sound credit acumen, have the capacity to lead and develop a team in a changing credit environment, and align with BOQ values and purpose. They will also have demonstrated the capability to execute goals towards the Asset Finance business group target and consistently exceed KPIs in delivering this target.
Requirements
- Leadership experience in a complex, commercial environment.
- Ability to work with stakeholders across the business and externally to build and maintain relationships and drive operational excellence.
- Problem-solving skills to quickly learn processes and systems and find, design, and implement efficiency uplift.
- Financial services experience, although not essential, is highly desirable.
