Key Role in Shaping the Future of the Grid

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Primary Design Engineer to join our design division. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering substation primary engineering up to 500kV and contribute to shaping the future of the grid.

Responsibilities
  • Lead primary substation design up to 500kV, including layout, equipment arrangement, and electrical clearances
  • Perform design calculations
  • Develop complete design packages including BOMs and technical specs for HV equipment
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure clash-free, optimised designs
  • Review system studies
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Primary Engineer on major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)
  • CPEng or working towards it
  • Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g. Engineers Australia)
