Expert Diabetes Educator Required

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Diabetes Educator to provide expert-level client-centred education and management in line with ADEA standards.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health assessments and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient outcomes.
  • Adjust insulin and oral anti-diabetic medication regimens within scope of practice, utilizing current evidence-based guidelines.
  • Provide educational support and supervision to students, promoting knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Contribute to policy development, quality assurance activities, and accreditation programs, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.

Requirements for Success:

  • Current Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE) status (ADEA).
  • Demonstrated expertise in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, with a proven ability to adapt to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment, prioritizing patient needs and delivering exceptional results.
  • Sound understanding of adult learning principles and chronic disease self-management strategies, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
