About This Opportunity

This is a dynamic leadership role that will play a pivotal part in driving the improvement, promotion, and education of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) across our site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project scope, cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure optimal project outcomes, while managing HSE performance and compliance across the facility
  • Lead and coach the management team to implement Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain communication plans for HSE activities, including engagement with stakeholders and the local community
  • Implement organizational HSE strategies, management systems, and improvement plans, aligning site priorities and resources to meet business objectives
  • Manage, develop, and support HSE advisors and personnel, ensuring compliance with HSE management systems and legislation
  • Identify, assess, and manage site-specific HSE risks, ensuring appropriate controls are implemented and corrective actions are completed
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in production, construction, and manufacturing environments, with an understanding of emergency procedures and injury management
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001) and experience in hazardous facilities
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, OHS & Dangerous Goods regulations, and Safety Management Systems
  • Extensive experience in managing people, achieving outcomes, and meeting stakeholder expectations
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Valid Driver's License and eligibility for a Defence clearance
  • Willingness to work on-site
