About the Role

CU Services Pty Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Environment & Sustainable Development (ESD) practice based in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be working on a diverse range of matters, particularly on major infrastructure projects.

Our ESD team is rated as one of only three tier 1 teams in Australia, and has been recognised as the leading team in Australia. We specialise in all areas of environment and planning law, as well as ESG, climate change, sustainability, water, energy, resources, natural capital and regulated industry laws, as well as project-based land acquisition.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general advice, due diligence, transactions and litigation services to clients;
  • Work on major infrastructure projects, including project, transactional, regulatory, litigation and dispute related work;
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, counsel, graduate lawyers and other parties;
  • Contribute to the development of our ESD practice and maintain our position as a leading team in Australia.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience as a Lawyer from a leading Australian or international law firm;
  • Experience across planning, environment and land acquisition matters;
  • Significant experience of Land and Environment Court litigation;
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, counsel, graduate lawyers and other parties.
