Job Opportunity

This role is about creating engaging technical training courses, facilitating train-the-trainer sessions and enhancing documentation standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Support Engineering Manager to develop and deliver effective training solutions. This involves conducting thorough needs analysis and design activities, crafting comprehensive materials, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure documentation meets user requirements and customer standards.

  • Conduct training needs analysis, define learning objectives and develop course curricula.
  • Deliver product training, including 'Train the Trainer' courses, to key stakeholders.
  • Write, format, edit, review and proofread procedural and technical information for various audiences.
  • Collaborate with engineers to create high-quality documentation that meets user needs and customer expectations.
  • Create example materials, monitor performance and report results.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure collaboration and alignment in training projects.
  • Mentor junior team members and engineers, building capability within the team.
  • Develop project timelines for training deliverables.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure milestones are met and risks are managed.
  • Measure training effectiveness and document quality.
  • Analyse data to inform decisions and demonstrate the impact of training improvements.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training or equivalent qualifications and above.
  • Proven experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD), plus developing training materials and delivering product training.
  • Strong technical writing skills for various audiences, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of military specifications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members.
  • Project management skills, including experience with tracking tools.
