Job Title: Senior GIS Developer

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Developer to join our team at EBR. As a Senior GIS Developer, you will be responsible for the development of our GIS spatial system, providing technical leadership and support to a small team of Spatial GIS developers, technicians, administrators, and officers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering and maintaining the Spatial GIS system
  • Providing ongoing development of the GIS system to support the business and the changes that evolve
  • Hands-on administration and development of our SQL database, SSRS reports, business applications, and spatial data technologies
  • Mentor and coach team members to increase productivity and team outcomes
  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders and internal customers throughout development projects and system processes
  • Provide various reports and other duties as requested by management
  • Provide support to new technology introductions
  • Technical supervisor to performing code review and sprint planning

Technical Requirements:

  • MS SQL Server – spatial data management, database design, administration, optimization
  • MS SQL Server Reporting Services - design, implementation & administration
  • Python
  • Spatial Web Services, REST APIs
  • Cloud computing including AWS, Azure
  • CRM/ERP technologies
  • Development environment - GIT version control
  • Experience with NoSQL database, particularly MongoDB is ideal
  • Experience developing QGIS plugins, ideally experience hosting a private plugin repository and plugins hosted in the official QGIS plugin repository
