About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to lead the analysis of GIS data and systems and provide strategic improvements to senior management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Transport Management Centre's and Operational System's GIS databases, systems, and stakeholder management, including GIS support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing GIS data and systems to provide continuous improvement reports
  • Utilizing GIS and Business Intelligence software, such as Tableau and SAP Business Objects
  • Creating, maintaining, and managing spatial data
  • Analyzing, interpreting, and presenting spatial data
  • Providing GIS development, integration, and data modeling guidance to stakeholders, programs, and projects
  • Utilizing ArcGIS Online and mobile applications
  • Reporting directly to the Spatial Systems Manager and supporting the manager in all aspects of GIS requirements
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in technology and building transport network information models
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Highly experienced in data collection, management, validation, cleansing, and preparation (office and/or field-based)
  • Expertise in ArcGIS Platform, including Desktop Pro, Online, Apps, ArcCatalog, ArcSDE, mobile GIS solutions, and ArcGIS Server
  • Advanced knowledge of ETL software, BI tools, and working with APIs
  • Expert knowledge of spatial data modeling and database design, as well as experience with database development, SQL, and Spatial Services
  • Experience with developing and enhancing GIS Applications using JavaScript, Python, and other relevant languages
