As an allied health assistant, you will be working under the direction of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to deliver high-quality clinical services to clients in residential aged care settings.
You will be responsible for a mix of clinical and administrative duties, including assisting in the delivery of physiotherapy services, servicing RAC clients, transporting residents, ordering prescribed equipment, running exercise groups, and supporting initiatives to meet client expectations.
Additionally, you will participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals as per Plena Healthcare's policy.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Assisting in the delivery of physiotherapy services in accordance with operating procedures and policies.
- Servicing RAC clients in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.
- Transporting residents to and from therapy sessions, setting up and packing away equipment, and collecting referrals as guided by physiotherapists.
- Ordering prescribed equipment, running exercise groups, and supporting initiatives to meet client expectations.
- Consulting with physiotherapists on adaptations and changes to treatment plans.
- Participating in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals as per Plena Healthcare's policy.
