About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Sydney, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repair of 4-stroke engine components using workshop equipment.
  • Overhaul cylinder heads with precision and adherence to specifications.
  • Machine cylinder head bores and sealing surfaces as well as engine blocks for proper fit and function.
  • Inspect, test and calibrate fuel injection systems for optimal performance.
  • Overhaul cylinder liners, pistons, connecting rods and charge air coolers.
  • Regularly maintain and service workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of assigned work both internally and externally.
  • Follow up and report on the status of work orders to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and complete detailed inspection, test and service work reports.
  • Ensure that all work is executed according to relevant guidelines and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A strong focus on safety.
  • Technical experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul combined with practical problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for advancing knowledge of 4-stroke engines.
  • Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems and cooling systems.
  • Professional interaction and solution delivery during work execution.
