About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Specialist to join our team at Allianz. As a key member of our Enterprise Transformation team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and delivery of data management and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the definition, development, and implementation of reporting inputs and requirements, and assess the impact of data domain model design.
  • Engage and represent key business stakeholders during the development of data elements for transformation, including prioritization, impact analysis, and stakeholder updates on progress and issue management.
  • Review existing reports for transition into future state platforms as part of transformation delivery, including data domain model considerations and reporting constructs for reuse.
  • Address key topics related to data governance and interact with data stewards and data governance principles to ensure consistent and quality data outputs from the reporting teams.
  • Implement concepts and processes to support the future data platform for Allianz Australia.
  • Actively work with transformation development data office and centers of excellence to ensure that future state data platforms are mature, efficient, and trusted.
  • Establish and support best practice design and implementation of data management concepts.
  • Provide guidance to development and analytics teams to ensure fit-for-purpose deliverables.
  • Establish standards and guidelines from continuous best-in-class delivery and future-proof models.
About You
  • Extensive experience with the review, analysis, design, and development of data domain design, data governance, and data platform implementation.
  • Experience in a similar data management role within insurance/banking financial services is highly regarded.
  • Technical pricing/accounting background is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional experience with stakeholder support and a structured methodology on communication to stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience with the establishment of standards and guidelines for a best-in-class implementation.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and technological developments in data management and other related data concepts and trends.
  • Demonstrated evidence of being self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven to improve business processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
