Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team at Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa. As a full-time, permanent position, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students.

About the Role

This position involves teaching English to students in Years 7-12, with a focus on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English to students in Years 7-12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve school goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in English or a related field
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current driver's licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
