We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher - Religion / HASS to join our vibrant school community at Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa.

About the Role

This full-time, permanent position commencing on 20 January 2025 will involve delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students in the subject areas of Religion and HASS. As a member of our committed team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues to provide exceptional educational outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • To design and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • To assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual requirements
  • To foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff members
  • To participate in professional learning programs and contribute to the development of the school community

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
  • A current Driver's Licence and ability to travel within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
