Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with teams on budgeting, forecasting, and market comparisons;
  • Review the total cost of ICT and undertake robust analysis to identify optimisation opportunities in line with standard industry frameworks;
  • Financial analysis, modelling, and consulting on the end-to-end costing of ICT projects and systems implementation;
  • Conduct pricing analysis and develop complex models to support supplier evaluations, negotiations, and scenario modelling; This includes normalising supplier responses, advising on pricing best practices, and providing strategic financial insights, such as return on investment and benefits tracking;
  • Provide assurance over financial models, including cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts. Review and improve financial processes and governance by identifying disconnects, redesigning workflows, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance cost transparency and accountability;
  • Develop statistical and financial data models, perform analysis and visualisation, and translate data into insights that support commercial and investment decisions.

Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience working in an internal or external consulting environment or technology supplier focusing on financial management, commercial modelling, and business analysis;
  • An understanding of technology finance and/or pricing mechanisms;
  • Superior communication and time management skills;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data and translate it to digestible information for senior stakeholders;
  • Advanced Excel modelling (including Power Query) and PowerPoint skills;
  • Data visualisation skills using tools such as Power BI;
  • Experience with Python and/or Python-in-Excel;
  • Undergraduate degree, with one of the following disciplines: Finance, Business Management/Commerce, Information Technology, Actuarial/Statistics, Computer/Data Science, Economics, or Engineering;
  • CA or CPA qualifications are highly desirable;
  • Must hold Australian Citizenship and be able to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
