About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to support Kinship Carers in building strong, nurturing environments for children. This is a full-time position with a fixed-term contract.

  • Support Kinship Carers to build strong, nurturing relationships with children.
  • Partner with families and community services to ensure children remain connected to their culture, identity, and community.
  • Identify training needs and boost carer confidence through tailored support plans.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead carer inductions and develop customized support plans to meet the unique needs of each family.
  • Contribute to care planning and placement stability by working collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Help organize meaningful events for children and carers to foster a sense of community and connection.
  • Participate in an on-call roster to provide timely support to Kinship Carers when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of placements and manage carer renewals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social or behavioural sciences, social work, or psychology.
