Job Opportunity

We're seeking a dedicated professional to work alongside carers and support services, ensuring children remain connected to their culture, identity, and community.

This role involves building strong relationships with kinship carers, identifying training needs, and providing tailored support to create stable, nurturing placements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting carers to build resilient environments
  • Partnering with families and community services
  • Identifying training requirements and boosting carer confidence
  • Developing support plans and contributing to care planning
  • Organising meaningful events for children and carers
  • Participating in an on-call roster for timely support
  • Managing placement records and carer renewals

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

  • A degree in social or behavioural sciences, social work, or psychology
  • Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
  • Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
